YOUR PRACTICE
WITH US!
The Beginner’s Yoga Series/Class is designed for the brand-new student!

Starting a yoga practice can be overwhelming and even a bit intimidating. We developed this class to create a welcoming environment where students can learn, support, and share. Make a commitment, make it a priority and schedule everything else around your time on the mat.
We start with emphasis on the breath and being present in the moment. We then weave in elements of breath and movement through beginner yoga postures that are accessible to all bodies. We break down the how to’s for healthy alignment and modifications to help you find success in your practice. We also introduce standing poses to help build strength in your feet and legs to help your balance. What your balance is off? No Worries! We have lots of wall space to support you!

Before you begin,
here are some quick tips to help
with getting you in the door:

The first time you come to the studio, arrive 10-15 minutes early. This will give you time to register, fill out a waiver, and get prepared for class. (You can also sign up online using the Mindbody app).
-
Wear breathable, comfortable clothing.
-
We usually practice barefooted so no special socks or shoes required.
-
Come hydrated.
-
Come with an empty stomach. If you have to eat, try a salad or protein shake…just not something heavy like a burger or burrito!

If you don’t have your own yoga mat, we have yoga mats for you to use and ask for a $4.00 donation. Try one our mats before purchasing one so you know what to look for. Check out our Yoga Blog on “Looking for a new mat”.
We have bolsters, blankets, blocks, and straps.
